One Helm for the Whole Boat
Your MFD plus NAUTI HELM — a world-class helm experience.
NAUTI HELM is a local-first, cloud-enabled Marine Information System. It brings machinery, electrical power, onboard controls, alarms, system health, situational awareness, and maintenance information together in one understandable helm environment — across the mixed equipment already installed aboard.
Every glass helm starts with a capable MFD — GPS, SONAR, RADAR, chartplotter — and it does those jobs beautifully. But a captain needs more than navigation at a glance. NAUTI HELM adds screen real estate alongside it, with clear views and deeper insight into every other system aboard — leaving your MFD to do what it does best.
NAUTI HELM takes it from there — controlling, monitoring and coordinating engines, generators, batteries, Victron energy systems, relays, cameras, sensors, and NMEA 2000 equipment, bringing them together into one integrated helm experience. Multi-display compatible on approved hardware.
NAUTI HELM is currently being developed and field-tested in the Bahamas aboard working boats under real marine conditions, with its applications and services standardized into a consistent fleet architecture as the platform moves toward selected pilot installations, and then into retail sales.
Why HelmLogix
- Sits beside your MFD, adding different views, more control and deeper insight into your vessel's operation
- NMEA 2000 integration with engine data, fuel systems, and more
- Real-time house battery monitoring with rate of charge and state-of-charge tracking
- Extremely flexible alarm management with intelligent priority and acknowledgment
- Cross-application coordination over MQTT across one or more helm displays
- Operational data is stored locally. Supports real-time or offline graphing.
- Smart app-selector buttons surface alerts from background applications — so trouble on a screen you're not viewing still reaches you
Local-First and Owner-Controlled
You buy the base system with perpetual ownership. Optional modules are delivered as SaaS subscriptions.
About the Founder
HelmLogix was founded by US expat "Captain" Dave Tobias in Freeport, Grand Bahama. With 35 years of engineering experience at IBM, AMD, Synaptics, N-trig and SigmaSense—specializing in CPU architecture, software and touchscreen technology—Dave built these systems first for his own 42-foot yacht and tests them daily in real offshore conditions. Now he's making them available to the marine community.
The NAUTI HELM Application Suite
